Optimum Zeal Tea Lounge (™) was born from a lifetime love of tea. Growing up, tea was a big part of everyday life. A powerful tradition. A simple give and take. In our household, a simple “hello” led to turning on the kettle. Any visitor, friend or foe, was offered a cup of tea. It takes only a few minutes to prepare a cup, but much longer to sit and sip. A cup of tea and your time were always a sign of pure hospitality. Tea was part of every breakfast and after lunch as well, then again late afternoon to tide us over for dinner. Tea was a cup of heart-warming nourishment you sip for many occasions. Brewing and preparing tea is like a ritual that offers comfort and peace of mind. This is where I got my love of tea and sharing that love feels indispensable.

 

My travels have only heightened my love of tea. I have discovered that in most tea-drinking countries, one thing remains a constant: tea brings people together. The ritual of serving tea facilitates good conversation and friendship. To serve tea is to serve hospitality, to nurture, to console, to love. A good cup of tea can be a delightful burst of flavor to soothe your soul whether you share it with a friend or serve it to yourself.

 

Here at Optimum Zeal (™), we are zealous to learn more about how everyone in this world of ours prepares and enjoys tea; and we care about sharing the love in ethical and sustainable ways. All of our products meet or exceed the food safety compliance standards covering microbiological activity, heavy metals and pesticide maximum residue limit for the European Union, Japan, Canada, USA, and all other major tea importing countries. Our suppliers undergo annual audits for food safety, Kosher, Vegan, Customs - Trade Partnership Against Terrorism, Organic and Air Cargo Control. Every other year audits are done by CFIA and USFDA-FSMA. Regularly scheduled rotations are maintained and the fields are left Fallow to ensure soil rehabilitation. The luxury tea we provide comes from tea farms that are run by mostly human labour, which helps to minimize overall CO2 footprint. These farms are very well regulated and monitored by the ETP (Ethical Tea Partnership) for social conditions. We associate with like minded companies that believe in reuse, reduce, and recycle.

We also offer a quality assortment of Tea accessories to brew the teas the way they were meant to be brewed, and simple brewing instructions to ensure an authentic experience.
